Hello amazing subscribers!

I hope y’all are enjoyed Pride Month and were able to celebrate it with friends and loved ones! I am petitioning that we make July Pride Month II.

There’s been very little time for me to devote to Pride or reading or writing, unfortunately. I do have some goodies for you though!

I got a lot of outlining done on what was a stand alone novel 7 months ago and is now a trilogy with a companion short story collection. Don’t look at me like that! The stand alone was titled, in my head, “How to Lose A Throne” and is now the second book in the trilogy and now tentatively being called “The Burning Soil.” A few weeks months ago I decided to write a short story in that universe. Then it became two, then three. Then one of the short stories became a novella, and then I did more outlining for it and oops it’s a full novel. So a few weeks ago I decided to add a third novel. I re-worked a lot of “The Burning Soil” and it actually solved a few of the problems I was having with it. Mainly, the motivations of on of the main characters. Sie disappears halfway through because sie doesn’t like how the one character is handling stuff. I was trying to find a reason for hir to decide to come back. But NOW? *rubs hands together*

I know, I know, I haven’t been reading. But I’ve been knitting and knitting lends itself really well to anime. My chosen-brother is about to start chemo and wants knitwear to keep warm. That obviously means knitted scale mail gloves, yes? I’m making myself a pair, too, so we can match!

Grey knitted fingerless gloves with blue and purple metal scales knitted into it, both layed out flat on my lap

They look a little big on me as I have tiny arms and these are his pair!

And if you’re making armor, you should be watching an appropriate anime. He introduced me to CLAYMORE, half-demon warrior ladies who save the world. It was pretty good, but left a lot of questions still at the end. Now I am finally watching Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works because Bee said to!

A quiet fisher mourning the loss of xer sister to a cruel dragon. A clever hedge-witch gathering knowledge in a hostile land. A son seeking vengeance for his father’s death. A daughter claiming the legacy denied her. A princess laboring under an unbreakable curse. A young resistance fighter questioning everything he’s ever known. A little girl willing to battle a dragon for the sake of a wish. These heroes and heroines emerge from adversity into triumph, recognizing they can be more than they ever imagined: chosen ones of destiny.

I just moved! It was a very chaotic move. “Oh we’re just moving down the hall,” I said. “I don’t really need to pack,” I said. “I can just carry each breakable one by one down the hall,” I said. Clearly the solution is to never put myself in this position again and never ever move again. And Didi agrees.

Didi on my dresser in the new apartment with a look of 'how could you do this to me? how could you possibly do this to me?'
